What Should I Do With My Life: Book Review
In 2002, my sister and I both read Po Bronson’s book: What Should I Do With My Life? We loved it! Honestly, I think we were both hooked by the title alone. We talked about the book and constantly referred to the author by his first name, as if we actually knew him. We would start many conversations with: “Well Po said…”
A couple of months ago, I decided to re-read the book so I called my sister and said: “Do you still have Po’s book?” Never mind that he’s written other books since 2002; She knew exactly what I was talking about.
In 2002, my sister and I were in our early 20s, had both graduated from college and were working in our field of choice. And we loved Po’s book. For me, Bronson invites the reader to think about what else is out there. Fifteen years later, I still think about this book and oftentimes, I still feel like that young adult starting out in life.
I wanted to write about this book because I want to write another version of this same book. I’m planning a book about people who have, in some way, answered this question for themselves. Although I am aware that maybe this is a question that can’t ever be fully answered. I want to focus on people who stopped just dreaming and made their dreams a reality.
I plan to write the updated: What Should I Do With My Life book. Version 2.0.
If you, or someone you know, has answered this question, get in touch then I want to write about you! Comment below or email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
